At Franco Masoma, we believe your wedding suit should be more than well-fitted clothing. It should be an expression of who you are on the day you choose to share your life with someone else.
Why Bespoke Matters for a Wedding Through Italian Craft
The difference between bespoke and off-the-rack is not merely about fabric quality or construction, though both matter deeply. The difference is about intention.
A bespoke wedding suit begins with you. With understanding how you move, how you carry yourself, and what gives you confidence. It is designed to fit your body exactly as it is, not as a standardized model suggests it should be. Every proportion is considered. Every detail is deliberate.
For grooms throughout Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Los Altos, and the greater Bay Area, this level of personalization ensures that when you stand at the altar, you are not distracted by discomfort or self-consciousness. You are simply present, dressed in something that feels like a natural extension of yourself.

The Franco Masoma Approach to Wedding Suits
Every bespoke suit at Franco Masoma begins with a conversation, not a measurement tape.
When you visit our Los Gatos showroom, you enter a ninety-minute consultation designed to go far beyond sizing. Franco takes the time to understand who you are. What your wedding will feel like. How you want to be remembered in photographs decades from now. He observes posture, gesture, and the way you naturally inhabit space.
These details inform not only how your suit fits, but how it feels when worn. From this exchange, a vision begins to take shape. One that is specific, personal, and grounded in how you actually live.

California Weddings, Italian Craft
Life in the Bay Area is defined by movement and transition. A wedding weekend might begin with a rehearsal dinner in Saratoga, continue with a ceremony in Napa Valley, and conclude with a reception overlooking San Francisco Bay. The setting evolves. The temperature shifts. What you wear must move fluidly through each environment without requiring adjustment.
Franco Masoma suits are designed in Los Gatos and made in Napoli, Italy, by master artisans whose understanding of fabric, proportion, and longevity has been shaped through generations of Italian tailoring. This is craftsmanship rooted in patience and precision. Materials are handled with respect. Construction is deliberate. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is excessive.
The result is a suit that feels structured without being rigid. Refined without appearing overly formal. Comfortable enough to wear through an entire day and evening, yet elegant enough to honor the occasion.

Fabric Selection: Personal and Intentional
Fabric selection at Franco Masoma is approached with care and exclusivity.
Franco does not work from mass-produced swatch books. Instead, he collaborates with a small town northwest of Milan, widely regarded as the fabric capital of Italy, where he selects textiles in small quantities with intention. His inspiration comes directly from the people he dresses.
When Franco chooses a fabric for your wedding suit, the decision is made with you specifically in mind. Not how the garment will perform at scale, but how it will live on you. How it will photograph. How it will feel as you move through your wedding day.
The textiles include luxury wools, superfine worsteds, cashmere, and refined blends from the world’s most respected mills: Vitale Barberis Canonico, Zegna, Loro Piana, Cerruti 1881, and Piacenza. These are fabrics chosen for longevity. They drape beautifully, wear gracefully, and maintain integrity over time.
This philosophy ensures exclusivity by design. You will not encounter your wedding suit on someone else.

The Made-to-Measure Process
After fabrics and design details are selected, the process moves into measurement.
Franco Masoma works using a made-to-measure methodology. You will try on master garments that serve as refined base models. Franco evaluates fit, balance, and proportion in real time, making thoughtful adjustments that account for stance, movement, and personal preference.
Measurements are not taken in isolation, but refined directly on the body through the master garment. This approach ensures accuracy while preserving ease and natural movement.
Once measurements, design details, and fabrics are finalized, your specifications are sent to our workshop in Napoli. There, skilled artisans construct your suit by hand using traditional Italian tailoring techniques.
The standard production timeline is six to eight weeks. For grooms with time-sensitive wedding dates, an expedited three-week option is available without compromising quality.
When your suit arrives, it undergoes a detailed quality inspection. Fit, fabric, construction, and finishing are reviewed carefully to ensure the final piece aligns precisely with what was envisioned.

Beyond the Suit: Dressing Your Wedding Party
While your bespoke suit is the foundation, Franco Masoma can also provide guidance and garments for your groomsmen, ensuring visual cohesion without uniformity. Ready-to-wear options are available with a turnaround of seven to ten days, allowing for coordinated styling that respects individual fit and preference.
Custom shirts, ties, pocket squares, and accessories can be tailored to complement your suit and align with your wedding’s aesthetic, whether it’s a vineyard ceremony in Napa, a modern celebration in San Francisco, or an intimate gathering in Los Altos Hills.
