There is a difference between clothing that is altered to fit and clothing that is created for you alone. Between a suit chosen quickly and a garment envisioned slowly. Between something borrowed for a day and something built to last a lifetime.
Your wedding is not an ordinary moment. It marks the beginning of a shared story. And what you wear should honor that beginning with the same thoughtfulness, care, and beauty that defines the commitment you are making.
At Franco Masoma, we do not simply tailor wedding suits. We create them from the ground up, designed specifically for you, made by hand in Napoli, and built to become part of your life long after the ceremony ends.
What It Means to Work with a Wedding Tailor in Menlo Park
A tailor is not the same as a designer. A tailor adjusts for your vision. A designer envisions. Franco Masoma is both.
When you work with Franco, you are not choosing from pre-made options and hoping alterations will make them feel right. You are beginning a collaboration. One that starts with understanding who you are, what your wedding will feel like, and how you want to be remembered when you look back at photographs years from now.
The process is personal. It is unhurried. And it results in a wedding suit that feels like an extension of yourself rather than a costume worn for the occasion.
For grooms throughout Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Atherton, Los Altos Hills, and the Bay Area, this approach offers something increasingly rare: clothing made with intention, worn with confidence, and built to endure.

Italian Tailoring Meets California Life
Franco Masoma garments are designed in Los Gatos and made in Napoli, Italy. This duality defines everything we create.
California informs the lifestyle. Italy provides the craft.
Napoli has been the heart of Italian tailoring for generations. The artisans who construct Franco Masoma suits have inherited knowledge passed down through families, refined over decades. Their understanding of fabric behavior, structural integrity, and garment longevity is not theoretical. It is practiced daily, by hand, with materials that demand respect.
Every stitch is deliberate. Every seam is considered. The result is a suit that wears beautifully from the first moment and continues to do so for years.
This is not fast fashion. This is patient construction. The kind that cannot be rushed and should not be compromised.

How the Process Begins
Every Franco Masoma wedding suit begins the same way: with a conversation.
When you visit our Los Gatos showroom, you enter a ninety-minute consultation that is intentional and unhurried. Franco does not begin with measurements. He begins by listening.
He wants to know who you are. How you carry yourself. What your wedding day will look like. Whether it will be an intimate gathering in Portola Valley or a grand celebration overlooking Napa Valley. Whether you prefer understated elegance or refined presence.
Franco observes how you move, how you stand, and what gives you ease. These observations inform everything that follows. They shape not only the fit of your suit, but the feeling it creates when worn.
From this dialogue, a vision takes shape. One that reflects you, not a trend. One designed to make you feel like yourself on the most important day of your life.

Fabrics Chosen with You in Mind
Fabric selection at Franco Masoma is never generic.
Franco does not rely on mass-produced collections or standard vendor catalogs. He collaborates with a small town northwest of Milan, the fabric capital of Italy, where he selects textiles in limited quantities with specific clients in mind.
When Franco chooses a fabric for your wedding suit, he is thinking about you. About how the material will photograph in natural light. How it will feel throughout a long day. How it will move as you walk down the aisle, embrace loved ones, and stand beside the person you are choosing to build a life with.
The fabrics Franco curates come from the world’s most respected mills: Vitale Barberis Canonico, Zegna, Loro Piana, Cerruti 1881, and Piacenza. These are textiles known for their drape, durability, and timeless quality. They are chosen to age gracefully and wear beautifully, not just on your wedding day but in the years that follow.
This approach ensures something rare: your wedding suit will be yours alone. You will not see it on someone else at another wedding. It was chosen for you and made for you.

Made to Measure in Napoli
Franco Masoma uses a made-to-measure methodology. You will try on master garments that serve as refined base models. These allow Franco to observe fit, balance, and proportion in real time, adjusting for your body, your posture, and your natural movement.
Measurements are not taken in isolation. They are refined on your body, through the garment itself, ensuring precision while maintaining comfort and elegance.
Once every detail is finalized, your specifications are sent to our workshop in Napoli. There, skilled Italian artisans construct your suit by hand using traditional tailoring techniques passed down through generations.
The standard timeline is six to eight weeks. For grooms with approaching wedding dates, we offer an expedited three-week production option that maintains the same level of quality and attention.
When your suit arrives, it is inspected carefully. Fit, fabric, construction, and finishing are reviewed to ensure the final piece aligns exactly with what was discussed and envisioned.

Weddings Across the Bay Area
Bay Area weddings are as varied as the landscape itself.
A ceremony might take place in a Menlo Park garden, followed by a reception at a Napa vineyard. Or it might begin with vows in Saratoga and conclude with dinner overlooking the San Francisco Bay. The locations change. The formality shifts. But the expectation remains constant: you should feel entirely yourself, appropriately dressed, and completely comfortable.
Franco Masoma suits are designed to move through these environments with ease. They are structured without being stiff. Refined without feeling overly formal. Comfortable enough to wear from morning preparation through late evening celebration.
This versatility matters. Your wedding day is long. What you wear should support you through every moment without distraction.

Serving Menlo Park and Beyond
Franco Masoma serves grooms throughout Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Atherton, Los Altos, Saratoga, Cupertino, Portola Valley, Monte Sereno, Pacific Heights, Marin County, and the greater Bay Area.
Our clients are men who appreciate craftsmanship. Who value discretion. Who understands that meaningful garments are built slowly and with care.
If you are preparing for your wedding and want a suit that reflects who you are rather than what is expected, we invite you to visit our Los Gatos showroom.
